U-Prox TAG
A contactless active chip for authorizing access for users in a “hands-free” access control system. The device features a built-in activation button.
The U-PROX Tag works exclusively with U-PROX SL and U-PROX SE readers and can be used in two modes — button-only mode or active chip with button mode.

Button mode:
In this mode, the U-PROX Tag transmits the chip code to the reader only when the button is pressed.

Active tag mode:
In this mode, the U-PROX Tag periodically transmits short information about itself and its readiness to communicate with the reader every 0.9 seconds. After receiving this information, the reader calculates the distance to the U-PROX Tag. If the distance matches the reader’s configured range and the reader has not yet interacted with this U-PROX Tag, data exchange occurs between the reader and the tag. The reader then sends the tag code received from the U-PROX Tag to the access controller.
