The sensor detects human movement at a distance of up to 15 meters and produces an animated series of photos in case of an alarm. Provides communication range with Hub up to 1700 meters via Jeweler and Wings radio protocol, operating frequencies 868.0-868.6 MHz. Mounted on the wall against doors and other places of possible penetration of intruders. Does not react to animals up to 80 centimeters tall. 3V power supply from 4 CR123A batteries.

Functionality of Ajax MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD)
As soon as thermal radiation from a person enters the MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) field of action, the sensor detects it using a PIR sensor and transmits an alarm to the Hub. MotionCam uses the Jeweler radio protocol to transmit alarms and events to the hub. The motion detection range of MotionCam is up to 15 meters and the viewing angle is 90° horizontally.
When the sensor is triggered, the built-in MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) camera can take 1 to 5 shots at a resolution of 320×240 and up to 3 shots at a resolution of 640×480 pixels. A series of photos is played in the application as an animation that allows you to evaluate the event in dynamics. Photos are available both in Ajax applications and on the security company's remote control software. MotionCam uses the Wings radio protocol to transfer photos to the hub.
The sensor supports remote configuration and testing, has a built-in temperature sensor. Power is supplied by 4 CR123A batteries (supply voltage 3 V), which are already installed inside the case. The sensor works without changing batteries up to 3 years. For shooting in the dark, the sensor is equipped with infrared illumination, which is activated only in case of an alarm.

The Ajax MotionCam Outdoor(PhOD) sensor is designed for installation outside residential premises, such as an apartment, house, office, shop. Thanks to MotionCam Outdoor(PhOD) you will know about the real situation at home even before the robbers understand the got caught. Following an instant alarm, the sensor will send an animated series of photos to assess the situation. Operating temperature range is from -25°С to +60°С. The body is made of plastic. The sensor is designed to be mounted on a wall, opposite the possible penetration of a thief into the room. The device can be mounted on a vertical surface or in a corner. It is recommended to install the sensor at a height of 0.8-1.3 meters from the ground.
The sensor works as part of the Ajax security system, connects wirelessly to the Ajax Hub 2 and Ajax Hub 2 Plus security centrals. The received data is digitally processed to eliminate erroneous alarms. The communication range with the hub in the absence of interference is up to 1700 meters.

Setting
The device is added to the system by reading the QR code indicated on the case. Connection and control is carried out using the Ajax Security System mobile application installed on a smartphone.
To control the sensor using a smartphone, the Ajax Security System program is used, which is available for free download from the Play Market and the Apple Store.

False alarm protection in MotionCam Outdoor(PhOD)
MotionCam Outdoor(PhOD) is equipped with a system of two independent IR sensors, the data of which is analyzed by LISA, a two-stage software algorithm. It compares the frequency components of the IR sensor signals to ensure accurate detection.
The device is immune to animals and does not work on cats and dogs up to 80 centimeters tall. MotionCam Outdoor(PhOD) is immune to solar glare and hot air currents.

Weather protection
MotionCam Outdoor(PhOD) is designed to work in different climatic conditions. The sensor is protected from dust and splashes and equipped with temperature compensation technology, making it effective in any weather. The complete Hood visor protects the camouflage sensors from rain and snow. The MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) enclosure has an IP54 protection class and an operating temperature range of -25 to +60°C.

Anti-sabotage features

The Ajax MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) sensor has a Grade 2 reliability certificate and meets the requirements of the PD 6662: 2017 standard. The device contains anti-sabotage functions:
